Goel Canvas Pvt Ltd

At Goel Canvas, our primary focus is on fabric inspection and quality control. We ensure that all fabrics meet the specific standards and requirements of our buyers before proceeding to further stages of processing.

The following are the key tests performed during fabric inspection:

1. Fabric Weight (GSM – Grams per Square Meter)

Fabric weight, measured in GSM, is a critical indicator of fabric density and thickness. The GSM of every lot is carefully checked and verified prior to starting any further processing.

2. Thread Count

Thread count refers to the number of threads per inch in both the warp (lengt hwise) and weft (widt hwise) directions of a woven fabric. During inspection, thread count is measured to ensure compliance with defined quality standards.

3. Colour Shades

Fabric colour shades are compared against approved colour standards to confirm accuracy and consistency. Each lot is inspected independently to ensure it matches the specified colour requirements.

3. Waterproofing Test (Cone Test)

For fabrics requiring waterproof performance, a cone water-proofing test is conducted. A 4 inch × 4 inch fabric cone is placed on a glass surface and filled with water to the top. The fabric passes the test if no water leakage is observed for 30 minutes.

Based on our experience, fabrics tested by this method have shown no water leakage for up to 48 hours.
